Protecting our schools - David Perdue

Re-Elect David Perdue

The best decisions in education are made by parents, teachers, and local administrators.

With the school year fast approaching, our number one priority is to make sure we provide our kids with a safe learning environment.

This week, I introduced the SCHOOL Act to help give schools the tools they need to make the best decisions for their students, faculty, and local communities.

The SCHOOL Act does four critical things:

  • Establishes a grant program to help schools purchase supplies they need to keep people safe
  • Connects health care professionals with schools to help with symptom checks, testing or other medical needs
  • Creates a clearinghouse to share best practices across school systems
  • Streamlines data transparency and develops a process to notify parents of confirmed cases at their child's school
