Senator David Perdue - Bloomberg TV

David Perdue
World-Class Infrastructure: “The President understands that for our economy to compete globally we’ve got to have world-class infrastructure. Georgia is very blessed to be leading in infrastructure. The President is flying down to Georgia today to make an announcement about how he’s clearing ways to continue rebuilding America’s infrastructure. He’s changing a rule that will simplify and modernize the review process and accelerate important infrastructure projects.”

Hong Kong Security: “This is a new era in terms of bilateral relations between China and the United States. It’s a complex equation. China is a great culture with a 5,000-year heritage, but they have been acting nefariously in the last few decades. They implemented the Belt and Road Initiative, Made In China 2025, they have a social credit score they implemented to control their own people’s behavior. In Hong Kong you see they are moving to reverse individual freedoms. This is a serious issue, and I support the President and what he is doing. This gives us an opportunity to deal with China on what they are doing to reduce freedoms.”

Economic Recovery: “We’ve got to make sure the economy continues to dig its way out of this shutdown. We shut the economy down and that’s never been done before. We brought back 7.5 million jobs in May and June –that’s remarkable and surprised everybody. If that were to continue, we’ll be digging out of this situation sooner than later.”

Q2 Fundraising Numbers

Senator Perdue announced he has $10.7 million cash on hand for his re-election bid.

  • $3 million total raised across all entities (includes LPAC and Georgia Republican Party)
  • $2.25 million total raised for campaign
  • Meanwhile, Ossoff raised $3.45 million and has $2.5 million cash on hand

Ossoff Flip Flops on PAC Money

According to Ossoff’s June filing with the FEC these donations include at least $30,000 from corporate-funded leadership PAC's. This contradicts Ossoff’s assurances that he would not take “a dime” from corporate PACs and his statement from his recent TV ad where he explicitly highlights that he “refuses donations from corporate PACs.”

Ossoff also received nearly 75% of his total contributions from outside Georgia, taking in nearly as much money from California alone as he did from donors in the state.

Stacey Abrams on MSNBC

In her latest TV appearance Stacey Abrams telegraphs how Democrats are targeting Georgia to win the White House and Senate Majority:

We know that David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler are going to be shortly evicted from their seats in the Senate and we are going to pick up two Senate seats, because we have added more than 750,000 new registered voters since my election, 45% of whom are under the age of 30, 49% of whom are people of color, and they demonstrated that power by more than 1.2 million Georgians going to the polls in the primary…We know we can win. Trump knows we can win. And with Joe Biden at the helm, we are going to take Georgia and we are going to win the White House and the Senate seats.
